Metro Planning, Inc July 2026 Kendall & James Homes LLC
8
therefore, these standards do not apply.

9.6835 – Public Accessways.

There are no public pedestrian and/ or bicycle accessways being proposed within the development site. There are no adjacent cul-de-
sacs, adjacent sites that are undeveloped, adjacent sites that are publicly owned, or adjacent sites developed with an accessway that
connects to the subject site, that would require an accessway to be constructed in order to provide a connection to and/or from this
proposed subdivision. No new public accessways are necessary or included as part of this proposed subdivision.

9.6840 – Reserve Strips.

Should the City make findings that a reserve strip is required to be dedicated, the property owner will comply.

9.6845 – Special Safety Requirements.

No new public streets or alleys are proposed for development with this tentative subdivision plan; this criterion is not applicable.

9.6850 – Street Classification Map.

Cal Young Rd is classified as a Minor Arterial Street on the November 1999 Street Classification Map adopted by Ordinance No. 20181
and as amended by Ordinance thereafter.

9.6855 – Street Names.

There are no new public streets proposed nor required with this tentative subdivision application; this criterion is not applicable.

9.6860 – Street Right-of-Way Map.

The City of Eugene Right-of-Way (ROW) map indicates no width designation for Cal Young Rd. Per EC 9.6870, “[w]hen a street
segment right-of-way width is not designated on the Street Right-of-Way map, the required street width shall be the minimum width
shown for its type in Table 9.6870 Right-of-Way and Paving Widths”. Based on EC Table 9.6870, a Minor Arterial Street requires a
ROW width of 65’ – 100’; Cal Young Rd provides approximately 80’ of ROW. This criterion is satisfied.

9.6865 – Transit Facilities.

There is existing bus service provided by Lane Transit District (LTD) with the nearest bus stop located on Coburg Road near the
intersection with Cal Young Road.

9.6870 – Street Width.

Cal Young Rd is classified as a Minor Arterial Street. Therefore, per EC 9.6870, the required Right-of-Way Width for Cal Young Rd is
65’ – 100’ and the required Paving Width is 46’ – 70’. Where Cal Young Rd abuts the subject property, the ROW is 80’ wide and the
paving width is +/- 66’. Cal Young Rd at the location of the subject property complies with street width standards.
