The maximum street profile slope for Tambour Court has changed from the
PDF-24-01 to the PTF-25-01 from a maximum slope of 19% to 24%. This is
not acceptable for fire apparatus access. Show a revied profile with
maximum slope of 20% with transitions to 10% on each side.
2. Street widths of 21 feet with parking on one side appear to meet City of Eugene
engineering standards for local public access. However, Eugene Springfield Fire
strongly recommends following the 2022 Eugene Fire Code, Section 503.2.1
which requires 20 feet clear width with no parking allowed on both sides within
that 20 foot width for these private streets. "NO PARKING -FIRE LANE"
signage shall be posted on both sides of the Randy Lane, Tambour Lane
and Tambour Court (2022 Eugene Fire Code Section D103.6).
3. Since there is only one access to this 38 lot subdivision, all dwellings in this
development shall be equipped with approved automatic fire sprinkler systems
meeting NFPA requirements (2022 EFC, Appendix D107.1, exception 1).
SPRftdGrirLD
A shared service of the cities of Eugene and Springfield, Oregon
