The <br />applicant’s written narrative indicates that all existing trees will beremoved, andthat25new <br />treeswillbeplanted. The applicant includes alandscapeplanthatshowsnewtreesbeing <br />provided on the site. <br />EC 9.6885(2) requires an applicant to submit materials froma certified arborist or licensed <br />landscape architect that demonstrate that consideration of trees and whether they should be <br />preserved has occurred. On July 14, 2022, theapplicantsubmittedtherequired report to <br />demonstratecompliance withthiscriterion. <br />Theproposeddevelopmentsatisfiestheapplicable provisionsof EC9.6880to EC9.6885. <br />b) Natural resourceareasdesignated onthe comprehensiveplandiagramas <br />Natural Resource” areprotected. Protectionshallinclude the areaoftheresource <br />andaminimum 50foot buffer aroundtheperimeter ofthenaturalresource area. <br />Thesubjectsiteisnotdesigned asaNaturalResources areaand, therefore, thiscriterionisnot <br />applicable. <br />Theproposed developmentcomplies with EC9.8100(3). <br />Hearings OfficialDecision (CU21-2) 3 107
