SECTION VII . R-2 TWO FAr1[ILY 'RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br />The following regulations shall apply in the R-2 Two-Family <br />Residential District: <br />A. USE <br />No building, structure, or.land shall be used, and no building or <br />structure shall be hereafter erected, structurally altered, enlarged, <br />or maintained, except for the following uses: <br />1. Any use permitted in the R-1 Single-Family Residential District., <br />2. Two-family dwellings. <br />3. Transitional Use. Transitional uses shall be permitted in the. <br />R-2 zone where the side of a lot abuts upon a lot in a commercial or : <br />industrial zone; provided such transitional use does not extend more <br />than sixty-five (65) feet from the boundary of the less restricted zone <br />which it adjoins as follows: <br />a. Multiple dwelling with the same area requirements as <br />in the R-3 zone. <br />b. Home occupation such as dressmaker, or lawyer, notary <br />public, public accountant, artist; teacher, musician, principal <br />office of a physician or dentist, or the practice of any,art or <br />craft of a nature to be conveniently and unobtrusively pursued <br />in.a family dwelling; providing the residential character of the <br />dwelling is not changed. <br />c: Public parking area when developed as required under <br />"General Provisions," Section XVI.,B.O. "r <br />d. Outdoor nursery for the•growing, sale; 'and display of <br />trees, shrubs, and'flors.- - <br />•B.' PARKING SPACE "REQUIRED <br />There shall beat least one (1) permanently reserved parking <br />space on the lot, or in a private garage on the same lot, or attached <br />to or made a part of the main building, for each dwelling unit. Such <br />parking or garage space shall be provided at the time of construction <br />-of the main building, or-when a single-family dwelling is'-enlarged to <br />a two-family dwelling,•additional parking space shall.be added as re- <br />quired. A parking space shall be not less than eight (8) feet wide <br />and eighteen (18) feet long, and shall have provisions for ingress and <br />} egress for standard size automobiles. <br />C. SIGNS <br />- Signs and name plates may b,e installed as follows.-' <br />1. One (1) name plate not exceeding one and one-half (1) square <br />feet in area for each dwelling unit,,,indicating the name of the occu- . <br />pant, *or, the occupation in. the case 'of A. 0.,,b. (above). : <br />
