We have not been provided with any foundation loading information
from the project structural engineer, and have assumed typical m aximum isolate column, continuous wall and
floor loading will not exceed 30 kips, 4 kips per linear foot, and 150 pound s per square foot (psf), respectively.

1.3 Purpose and Scope of Services

The purpose of our services was to perform a geotechnical engineering evaluation and infiltration testing for the
proposed development. In order to evaluate the subsurface conditions, we observed the excavation of eight (8)
exploratory test pits at the site (TP-1 through TP-8), to depths ranging from 3 feet to 7-1/2 feet below the ground
surface (bgs). The test pits were completed on March 20, 2026 and performed by our excavation subcontractor,
Emerald Excavating, using a John Deere 50G rubber tracked mini excavator, equipped with an 18-inch-wide, toothed
bucket. The approximate locations of the test pits are shown on the Exploration Location Plan (see Figure 4 below).

In addition, we conducted two additional explorations for infiltration testing approximately within the proposed
Stormwater Swales areas, as indicated on the provided architectural site plan dated 3-2-26. The infiltration tests
were conducted in accordance with the current City of Eugene Stormwater Management Manual - Encased Falling
Head Test, available at https://www.eugene-or.gov/477/Stormwater-Management-Manual. Infiltration testing rates
obtained in the field are presented in Section 2.5 below.
Densely vegetated area of site.
