Q: We are concerned about fire. There was a fire on Floral Hill. The street is narrow. Ingress and egress is
limited. Fire trucks had to back down. The city should be helping here with access and roads.

Q: What is going to happen with all the cars? We are fixed income people and we can’t afford to pay for
sidewalks in front of our houses.
A: Fire and safety is an important point. Floral Hill Drive will be widened. There are 2 hammerhead turnaround
designed into the project for fire turnaround. There is no requirement for sidewalks in front of any other
property except this one.

Q: The Hendricks Hill community is just south of here. There was a fire up here. The fire trucks couldn’t get it.
Fire trucks were delayed. We will all be blocked in.
Lots of discussion about fire, safety, etc. We are all for affordable housing, CLT, but there are fire/safety
concerns.
A: It is an exisng issue that we are concerned abo ut and are designing the project to meet city standards with
respect to fire.

Q: How can you have such density on this small piece of property? How will the noise be dealt with? Will the
police department be called if there are issues? Why don’t you just cut it in half? And what changes did you
make to the plan to get funding since you didn’t score very well last year?
A: 60 units are allowed according to the land use code but we couldn’t figure out how that would work. Trying
to keep the homes as low as possible (cost to the buyer). This is actually our third try. Why? Because there is
a lot of compeon for the funding. Other projects were more shovel ready. The city decided they wanted to
give money to projects that were more ready to start building and produce housing units.

Carol Schirmer stood up and talked about land use process, opportunies for public comment, land use me
lines, etc.
Nora thanked everyone for coming and validated their concerns.
Expressed appreciaon for people coming out and hav ing a conversaon with us. Welcomed addional
quesons later.

The meeng adjourned.
