New building construction and current energy requirements will also facilitate better sound <br />attenuation. Any outdoor activity is oriented internally to the campus to the south, reducing off- <br />site noise impacts. <br /> <br />Glare and Lighting <br />Exterior lighting will be designed to be full cut off shield to prevent spillover onto adjacent <br />properties. Lighting levels will be consistent with typical campus and urban standards, meeting <br />the standards in the land use code, ensuring safety while minimizing glare and off-site impacts. <br /> <br />Odors <br />The proposed use does not include activities that generate significant odors. Any limited food <br />service component will be typical of small-scale commercial kitchen operations and will be <br />vented and managed in accordance with applicable building and mechanical codes, ensuring no <br />off-site odor impacts. <br /> <br />(2) Proposed lots, buildings, streets, parking lots, recreation areas, and other proposed uses are <br />designed and sited to minimize impacts to the natural environment by addressing the following: <br />(a) Protection of Natural Features. <br /> <br />1. For areas not included on the City’s acknowledged Goal 5 inventory, the preservation of <br />significant natural features to the greatest degree attainable or feasible, including: <br />a. Significant on-site vegetation, including rare plants (those that are proposed for <br />listing or are listed under State or Federal law), and native plant communities. <br />This development site is not listed on the City’s acknowledged Goal 5 inventory. <br />There are no rare plants or significant on-site vegetation. <br /> <br />b. All documented habitat for all rare animal species (those that are proposed for listing <br />or are listed under State or Federal law). <br />No documented habitat for rare animal species. <br /> <br />c. Prominent topographic features, such as ridgelines and rock outcrops. <br />No existing topographic features such as ridgelines and rock outcrops. <br /> <br />d. Wetlands, intermittent and perennial stream corridors, and riparian areas. <br />No wetlands present. <br /> <br />e.
