Therefore, there is <br />no indication of safety issues at the site access. <br /> <br />Roadway Geometry <br />Chad Drive is one lane in each direction with a center two-way left-turn lane. The driveway is <br />located on a straight section of roadway with curvature to the east. The access and roadway <br />design are consistent with industry standards. There are no geometric issues that would cause <br />safety issues at the site access. <br /> <br />Line of Sight <br />The speed of Chad Drive is 35 mph. As per the AASHTO methodology, drivers traveling on Chad <br />Drive approaching the site access need to be able to see vehicles stopped to enter the site <br />from a distance of 250 ahead of the access location (Stopping Sight Distance). Additionally, <br />drivers exiting the site driveway need to be able to see to the east and west along Chad Drive, <br />a distance of 390 feet, to be able to perceive an adequate gap in traffic to make the turn <br />maneuver (Intersection/Departure Sight Distance). <br /> <br />There are no line-of-sight obstructions. The line of sight standards are met. <br /> <br /> Sight Distance at Driveway <br /> <br />Turn Conflicts <br />The closest driveway is 3,251 feet to the east and 275 feet to the west. There are no conflicts <br />for vehicles turning into or out of the site access.
