DRAFT <br />A.2.6 Atterberg Limits <br />Atterberg limits were determined for soil samples obtained from the borings in <br />conformance with ASTM D4318. The test results are summarized on Figures 1A through <br />11A, where appropriate, on the Plasticity Chart, Figure 17A, and in Table 3A. <br />A.2.7 One-Dimensional Consolidation <br />Two one-dimensional consolidation tests were performed in conformance with ASTM <br />D2435 on relatively undisturbed soil samples extruded from Shelby tubes. This test <br />provides data on the compressibility and stress history of the soils, necessary for <br />settlement studies. The test results are summarized on Figures 18A and 19A in the form of <br />curves showing percent strain versus applied effective stress.
