University of Oregon <br />Indoor Football Practice Facility <br />Willamette Greenway Permit Application <br />September 23, 2021 <br />The new facility is designed to be low energy by employing natural ventilation and <br />daylight for much of the year while maintaining ambient conditions that adhere to <br />NCAA comfort guidelines, supplemented with an efficient HVAC system only when <br />needed due to weather extremes. <br />New tree plantings and a meadow mix are proposed along the western perimeter, <br />abutting the facility and the intersection of Leo Harris Parkway and MLK Jr. Boulevard, <br />as illustrated on Sheet 1-1.00 Materials and Planting Plan (Exhibit A). The proposed <br />development includes several flexible plaza spaces. A north courtyard is located north <br />of the site, and a new pedestrian access gate is proposed.
