<br />Railroad Boulevard at Cross Street: This intersection is stop-controlled with Cross Street as the <br />stopped approach. There is one lane per each direction at this intersection, and no turn lanes are <br />present. Bike lanes are present along Railroad Boulevard, and there are no separated bike facilities <br />on Cross Street. During the pm peak hour, there are few turning movements into and out of Cross <br />Street from Railroad Blvd, with a majority of trips to/from the north. <br />Railroad Boulevard at Polk Street: This intersection is stop-controlled with Polk Street as the <br />stopped approach. There is one lane per each direction at this intersection, and no turn lanes are <br />present. Bike lanes are present along Railroad Boulevard, and there are no separated bike facilities <br />on Cross Street. During the pm peak hour, there are few turning movements into and out of Polk <br />Street from Railroad Blvd, with a majority of trips to/from the east. <br />Railroad Boulevard at Van Buren Street: This intersection is signalized and contains separate <br />protected phasing for the westbound left turn. All other left turns are shared movements with the <br />through lane and run as permissive phasing. Separate right turns are present on the eastbound and <br />northbound approaches. There are pedestrian crossings on all approaches, bike lanes on Railroad <br />Boulevard, and sharrows present on Van Buren Street. During the pm peak hour, the highest traffic <br />flow is in the westbound direction. <br />Railroad Boulevard at Grand Street: This intersection is stop-controlled with Grand Street as the <br />stopped approach. There is one lane per direction at this intersection, and no turn lanes are <br />present. Bike lanes are present along Railroad Boulevard, and there are no separate bike facilities <br />on Grand St. During the PM Peak Hour, there are few trips turning with most of the trips from <br />Grand Street heading northwest. <br />Cross Street at Polk Street: This intersection is stopped-controlled with one lane in each direction <br />and Cross Street as the stopped approach. There are no separated bike facilities or painted <br />pedestrian crosswalks. This intersection is low volume serving 93 trips in the pm peak hour. The <br />majority of trips in the pm peak hour are northbound. <br />Cross Street at Cross Place: This intersection is stop-controlled with one lane in each direction and <br />Cross Place as the stopped approach. There are no separated bike facilities, and there are no striped <br />crosswalks. This intersection is low volume, with very few turning movements. <br /> <br />2.3 ADJACENT LAND USES <br />Adjacent land uses of properties to the northwest are Community Commercial and Medium <br />Industrial. These lots are fully developed with commercial and residential uses that include <br />warehousing, manufacturing, mini-storage, mobile home park, and auto mechanic services. <br />Adjacent land uses to the northeast and east are comprised of residential uses. These uses are a mix <br />of single-family, apartments, and tiny homes.
