The number of chickens, other fowl, and/orirabbits (over " <br />the age of six (6) months) shall not exceed one (1) for each <br />five hundred (500) square feet.of property; provided that no <br />roosters over the age of six (6) months shall be kept. The <br />number of young chickens, other fowl, and/or rabbits (under the <br />are of six (6) months) allowed on the property at any one time <br />shall not exceed three (3) times the allowable. number of chickens$ <br />other fowl, and/or rabbits over the age of six (6) months. <br />c. The number of colonies of bees allowed on a lot shall be <br />limited to one colony for each one thousand (1,000) square feet . <br />of lot area. <br />d. Animal runs or barns, chicken or other fowl pens, and <br />colonies of bees shall be located on the rear half of.the property, <br />but not closer than seventy (70) feet from the front property line <br />nor closer than fifty (50) feet from any residence.- <br />e. Animals, chickens, and/or other fowl shall be properly caged <br />or housed, and proper sanitation shall be maintained at all times. <br />All animal or poultry food shall be stored in metal or other <br />rodent-proof receptacles. <br />: 12. When an RA district is reclassified to another district as here- <br />inafter listed, all those land. uses granted'under Section V., A. 11., a. <br />through e. (above), shall be completely discontinued within a period of <br />six (6) months from the date of reclassification. <br />X 13. Transitional use. Transitional uses shall be permitted in the <br />RA zone where the side of a lot abuts upon a commercial or industrial <br />zone; provided that such transitional use does not extend more than sixty <br />five (65) feet from the boundary of the less restricted zone which it <br />adjoins as.follows: <br />a. Two-family dwellings with the same area requirements as <br />the -R-2 zone. <br />b. Home occupation such as dressmaker, or lawyer, notary <br />public, public accountant, artist.-teacher, musician, principal <br />office of a physician or dentist, or the practice of any art-or. <br />craft of a'nature to be conveniently and unobtrusively pursued <br />in a family dwelling; providing the residential character of <br />the dwelling is not changed. <br />c.
