BOARDING HOUSE: A building or portion thereof having only one <br />~1 tchen and used for the purpose of providing meals and/or <br />lodging for pay or compensation of any kind to persons other <br />than members of a family occupying such a.dwelling. <br />BUILDING: The terms ttbuilding" and "structure" shall be synony- <br />mous and shall mean that which is framed, erected, constructed, <br />or placed to stand temporarily or permanently on a parcel of <br />land.
