We concur that the EWEB
Headquarters Warehouse/Operations Building is eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.
We also concur that the proposed undertaking will result in an adverse effect to historic properties. We look
forward to developing an appropriate approach toward mitigating the adverse effect. While the draft MOA
submitted to our office is a good starting point, we would like to ensure that other interested parties have been
invited to participate in consultation prior to commenting. Interested parties include Tribes, Restore Oregon,
and local historical societies, including the Lane County History Museum. Please let me know if you need
contact information for any of these groups, or if they have already accepted or declined to participate in
consultation.
Our response is to assist you with Oregon Revised State 358.653 ("Protection of Publicly Owned Historic
Properties"). Comments pursuant to a review for archaeological resources will be sent separately. Local
regulations, if any, still apply and review under local ordinances may be required. Please feel free to contact
me if you have further questions, comments or need additional assistance.
Sincerely,
"1t%"11W
Tracy Schwartz
Historic Preservation Specialist
(503) 986-0677
tracy.schwartz@oregon.gov
cc: George Kramer, Heritage Research Associates Inc
