How to Submit Testimony Send a written statement to the Planning Commission by 5:00pm on April 26, 2019 c/o Allison Camp, Community Development Division, 99 West 10 th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon 97401 or by e-mail: ACamp@eugene-or.gov. Written statements received by staff by 5:00pm on Friday, April 26, 2019 will Send a written statement after April 26, 2019, but before the public hearing. Written statements submitted after 5:00pm on Friday, April 26, 2019, but prior to the public hearing will be provided to the Planning Commission at the public hearing. See contact information above. Attend the public hearing on May 7, 2019 and provide written testimony. Written testimony may be submitted to the Planning Commission at the public hearing that will begin at 5:30 p.m. on May 7, 2019. Attend the public hearing on May 7, 2019 and state your support or concerns. You may present spoken testimony at the hearing. The Planning Commission may limit the time for each speaker to a few minutes. You are encouraged to submit written testimony if you have detailed or lengthy comments you wish to make. All public testimony received by the Planning Commission will also be forwarded to the City Council. As noted above, the City Council will hold a recommendation, before any final action is taken on the request. Please note that decision will not be limited to the materials considered by the Planning Commission; new testimony and evidence will be allowed at public hearing. Issues which may provide the basis for an appeal to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals must be raised in writing with sufficient specificity to enable the decision maker (in this case the City Council) to respond to the issues prior to the expiration of the comment period. At the public hearing, testimony will first be accepted from those in support of the request, then from those that are neutral, then from those in opposition. The applicant will also be given an opportunity for final rebuttal. The City of Eugene complies with state and federal laws and regulations relating to discrimination, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact City staff at least 48 hours prior to the public hearing. Additional Information and Staff Report The application materials, including all maps, documents and evidence, and the applicable criteria will be available for free inspection at the Eugene Planning and Development Department, Permit and Information Center, 99 West 10 th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon 97401 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
