Figure 7: Looking north from east leg of Lombard Lane/Briarcliff Lane intersection <br />Due the narrowness of the Fir Lane and Lombard Lane (both approximately 16 feet), it is <br />possible that there is insufficient stopping sight distance through the Fir Lane/Lombard <br />Lane intersection and insufficient turning radii for an eastbound left turning vehicle and <br />southbound right turning vehicle to adequately maneuver simultaneously based on an <br />assumed design speed of 15 MPH. Visibility is blocked by the fence located on the <br />northwest corner of the intersection. "These movements are both uncontrolled through the <br />intersection. This issue would be exacerbated when considering the presence of larger <br />vehicles. <br />FC 9.6815 (2)(f) requires the following: <br />"In cases where a required street connection would result in <br />the extension of an existing street that is not unproved to city <br />standards and the street has an inadequate driving surface, the <br />developer shall construct a temporary barrier at the entrance <br />to the unimproved street section with provision for bicycle, <br />
