Figure 3: Lombard Lane pavement crumbling at edge and no drainage facilities <br />`There arc two intersections along the planned access route to the proposed development <br />that have inadequate intersection sight distance. According to FC 9.6780 "[d]evelopment <br />sites shall have triangular vision clearance areas on all street corners to provide for <br />unobstructed vision consistent with American Association of State I lighway and <br />"Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standards. (See figure 9.0500 Vision Clearance Area)." <br />The north and west legs of the Lombard bane/FFi.r Lane intersection are uncontrolled, while <br />the east leg of the intersection is stop controlled. From the east leg of the intersection, <br />there is approximately 50 feet of intersection sight distance available due to vegetation. <br />According to AASHTO's /I Policy on Geomelric Design of Higbwayj and.S'lreets, adequate <br />intersection sight distance is 280 feet based on a design speed of 25 MPH from a stop <br />controlled position like on the cast leg of the intersection as illustrated in Figure 4. <br />4 <br />
