Thewestern <br />portion isrectangular in shape. Theeastern portion ismoreofasquareshape. A bikepath bordersthe <br />eastern boundary. Residentialhousesareto thenorth and south. Theentiresiteisgenerally flatin <br />topographyand dominated by herbaceousvegetation with a few scatterings oftrees. Herbaceous <br />vegetation wasdominated by meadowfoxtail(Alopecuruspratensis), colonialbentgrass(Agrostis <br />capillaris)andtall fescue(Schedonorusarundinaceus). The trees were Englishhawthorn (Crataegus <br />monogyna)and Englishwalnut(Juglansnigra). <br />Asitevisitwasconducted on June1, 2017. The1987 Manualand RegionalSupplementto theCorps <br />ofEngineersDelineation Manual:Western Mountainsand Valleyswere used to determine presence or <br />absence of State ofOregonjurisdictional wetlandsand theFederaljurisdictionalwetlands. Schottand <br />Associatesfound no wetlandspresenton theproperty, and thereforeconducted an onsitedetermination <br />to documentfindings. <br />The Natural Resource Conservation Service(NRCS)mapped three soil series on thesite,Chapman- <br />UrbanLand Complex, Malabon-UrbanLand Complexand Newberg Loam. Noneofthesoilsare <br />considered hydricsoils. <br />Foursample plotswereestablished to documentconditionsthat wouldmost likely identify as <br />wetlands. Sample Plot1wasplaced ina small swale nearthenortheasternproperty boundary. <br />Vegetation waspredominantly tallfescueand colonialbentgrass. Soilshad a 10YR 3/2 matrixwith no <br />hydricsoilindicators. Sampleplot2 wasplaced in themiddleof theproperty in a topographically low <br />area.Soilsdidnotmeet hydriccriterion. <br /> <br />
