Attachment C
GYOELLO Nick Attachment B
From: joanb <joanb@uoregon.edu>
Sent: Friday, December 08, 2017 10:05 PM
To: GIOELLO Nick R
Subject: proposed CHPUD
TO: Nick Gioello, Assistant Planner, City of Eugene Planning and Development, 99 West 10th Ave., Eugene, Or.
I am opposed to the application for the Capital Hill PUD (PDT 17-01).
The land is on steep, unstable ground. Also, the removal of many large trees and possible water run-off increase the
risk of landslide.
I personally believe we should not endanger those areas of Eugene that are particularly known for their natural beauty
and tranquility. For example, blow downs caused by cutting down many large trees on Capital Hill could affect Hendricks
Park and wooded trails in the area. There are already limits set by the Eugene code and the South Hills Study explicitly
protects the evergreen "view shed" as a public asset.
Please confirm the receipt of my email so it will be entered into the official record to be considered by the City and
Hearings Official.
Thanking you for your kind attention,
Joan Benson
2795 Central Blvd.
Eugene, OR 97403
Page 374
