Eugene Ordinance Exhibit E <br />[Lane County Ordinance Exhibit F-3] <br />large volumes of raw materials into refined products and/or industrial uses that have <br />significant external impacts. In general, these areas are designated for heavy <br />industry in the comprehensive plan. Heavy industrial uses often have <br />transportation needs that include both rail and truck. Less intensive industrial uses <br />that are permitted in the Light-Medium Industrial zone are also permitted. <br />• Section 9.2430 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide as <br />follows: <br />9.2430 Emplovment and Industrial Zone Sitina Reauirements. In addition to the <br />approval criteria in EC 9.8865 Zone Change Approval Criteria, the following siting <br />requirements apply: <br />(1) E-1 Campus Employment. This zone is limited to areas designated Campus <br />Industrial in the ] comprehensive plan. <br />(2) E-2 Mixed Use Employment. This zone is limited to areas designated Light- <br />Medium Industrial in the comprehensive plan and those that <br />meet either (a) or (b) of the following minimum siting requirements: <br />(a) Property has frontage on an arterial street. <br />(b) Contiguous to parcels currently zoned E-2 or C-2 Community <br />Commercial. <br />(3) 1-2 Light-Medium Industrial. This zone is limited to areas designated Light- <br />Medium Industrial in the [""°+nl comprehensive plan or those that meet <br />all of the following minimum siting requirements: <br />(a) Access to arterial streets without undue negative impact on residential <br />streets. <br />(b) No more than 5 acres. <br />(c) Sufficient street frontage to accommodate structures, parking, and <br />access in character with adjacent non-industrial properties. <br />(4) 1-3 Heavy Industrial. This zone is limited to areas designated either Heavy <br />Industrial or Special Heavy Industrial in the comprehensive <br />plan. <br />• The "Agricultural, Resource Production and Extraction" section of Table <br />9.2450 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide as follows: <br />Table 9.2450 Employment and Industrial Zone Land Use and Permit Requirements <br />E-1 E-2 1-2 1-3 <br />Agricultural, Resource Production and Extraction <br />Horticultural Uses.
