Duties included: providing assistance in the production and quality control of traffic <br />management plans. <br />Walker Road Corridor Study, Washington County, Oregon. Duties included: conducting safety analysis through the six mile <br />Walker Road arterial to identify opportunity for pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular traffic safety improvements; developing existing and <br />design year traffic volumes; conducting intersection capacity analysis for the existing and design year traffic condition with and <br />without improvements; preparing visual simulation for each scenario to provide comparative measures of effectiveness for <br />presentation; developing geometric and signal system improvement recommendations; preparing simulation model of the arterial <br />using SYNCRO/SIM-Traffic; and, writing a report summarizing the safety and operational condition of the corridor. <br />Oregon Route 58 from 1-5 to Oakridge Corridor Study, ODOT; Duties Included: conducting traffic operation and safety <br />assessment to identify improvement opportunities and recommended possible mitigation measures to bring the roadway geometry to <br />ODOT design standards. <br />Traffic Review Engineer/Access and Development Review Coordinator, Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), <br />Roseburg, OR (November 1997 to March 2005) <br />Duties included: conducting preliminary traffic analysis for interchanges improvements; conducting transportation demand modeling, <br />traffic operations, including work zone traffic safety and capacity analysis; representing the region traffic section in project delivery <br />meetings, reviewing and/or facilitating the review of signing, striping and traffic signal design plans; participating in the development <br />of goals and objectives of the Oregon Administrative Rule Division 51 and Access Management Program; providing <br />recommendations for roadway safety and capacity improvements to management staff; and leading a team of cross-functional staff in <br />developing a standardized project rating system for the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. <br />Assistant Transportation Engineer - City of Concord and City of Los Angeles, California (June 1988 to November 1997) <br />Duties included: working with the general-public to gain support for intersection modification, signal installation and other roadway <br />improvements; coordinating traffic engineering activities with other city divisions and outside government agencies; responding to <br />traffic operation related citizen complaints; preparing plans, specifications and cost estimates as well as ensured the completion of <br />these projects by the scheduled date; preparing traffic studies for intersections safety and capacity improvement projects; designing <br />layout of coordinated ITS/ traffic signal networks, for both grid and arterial signal systems; and, developing and implementing traffic <br />signal timing parameters for time-based and closed-loop signal systems. <br />2 <br />
