BERG-JOHANSEN Erik
From:
Linda Donelson <Iindadonelson@earthlink.net>
Sent:
Tuesday, January 10, 2017 1:47 AM
To:
BERG-JOHANSEN Erik
Subject:
Amazon Crossing and traffic concerns
This email is in regards to the proposed Amazon Crossing Project.
I am especially concerned regarding traffic flow past Tugman Park. The current speed limit on Hilyard St as
you pass the park is 30 miles an hour, in addition there is no cross walk to allow people from the residential area
to the East of the park to safely access the park. This small park is a very busy park, especially in the summer,
with many activitites there for children. I cringe whenever I see parents trying to load and unload there small
children to use the park, as cars zoom by usually at over the 30 mph speed limit. Every day I see people run
across Hilyard St to come and go from the park, risking their lives to enjoy this great little neughborhood park,
because there are no safe cross walks. Please, as you look at the increased traffic from the Amazon Crossing
project, midigate the speed problem for Tugman Park. Reduce the speed limit to no more than 25 mph and add a
safety crosswalk with blinking yellow lights. Just visit the area on a sunny day, especially in the summer and
you will wonder how it is possible that some small child or disabled person, or elderly person has not been hit
and killed.
Submitted with all due respect,
Linda Donelson
4245 Hilyard St
541-359-9451
Sent from my Galaxy TabC A
