EWEB STATES THE FOLLOWING: <br />THERE ARE NO ELECTRIC FACILITIES ADJACENT TO THIS <br />PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT. UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC FA- <br />CILITIES WILL NEED TO BE EXTENDED TO SERVICE THIS <br />DEVELOPMENT. THE EXISTING WATER INFRASTRUCTURE <br />WITHIN OAKLEIGH LANE AND MCCLURE LANE IS INADE- <br />QUATE TO SERVE ANY ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT OR <br />PROVIDE THE NECESSARY FIRE FLOWS ALONG OAKLEIGH <br />LN. THEREFORE, PRIOR TO ANY DEVELOPMENT OF THE <br />SITE, SIGNIFICANT UPGRADES OF THE WATER FACILITIES <br />IN OAKLEIGH AND MCCLURE, ALONG WITH A LOOP CON- <br />NECTION BETWEEN THESE TWO STREETS... WILL BE RE- <br />QUIRED TO SERVE THE PROPERTY." THERE GOES THE <br />NEIGHBORHOOD. <br />4. FLOODS. THE SITE IS LOCATED IN THE EUGENE SPE- <br />CIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREA. FOR IT TO BE ELEVATED <br />ABOVE THE 100 YEAR FLOODPLAIN, THE PLAN IS TO <br />BRING IN 4 FEET OF FILL, INCREASING THE BUILDING <br />HEIGHT TO 35 FEET ABOVE THE SURROUNDING PUBLIC <br />LAND. NOT A SOUND INVESTMENT. <br />5. INTEGRITY. THE OMC DEVELOPERS ARE FROM CALI- <br />FORNIA AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN FORTHRIGHT WITH <br />THEIR PLANS FOR THE PROPERTY. WHAT BEGAN AS A <br />SMALL ENVIRONMENTALLY/ NEIGHBORHOOD FRIENDLY <br />COMMUNITY IS NOW MAXIMUM DENSITY FOR-MAXIMUM <br />PROFIT. <br />PLEASE KNOW THAT THE NEIGHBORHOODS OF OAK- <br />LEIGH AND MCCLURE LANES ARE NEARLY UNANIMOUS <br />IN OUR OPPOSITION AND THAT WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS <br />PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT.
