Applicable approval criteria are outlined below in italics, <br />followed by proposed Findings of fact in normal text. <br />EC9.0500- DEFINITIONS. As used in this land code, unless the context requires otherwise, the <br />following words and phrases mean: <br />SHADE POINT. The part of a building that casts the longest shadow onto the adjacent <br />northern lot(s) when the sun is at an altitude of 22.6 degrees and an azimuth ranging <br />from 30 degrees east and west of true south; except a shadow caused by a narrow <br />object such as a most or whip antenna, a dish antenna with a diameter of 3 feet or <br />less, a chimney, utility pole or wire. The height of the shade point shall be measured <br />from the shade point to the lowest grade directly below the shade point. If the shade <br />point is located at the north end of the ridgeline of a building oriented within 45 <br />degrees of the true north-south line, the shade point may be reduced by 3 feet.
