* There is also the issue of the tower being directly across from Amazon Trail-a federally funded
project. Another neighbor has consulted an attorney about the ramifications of this.
I am very concerned to read of the increasing #'s of cell towers proposed for other areas of Eugene. On the internet there is
even mention of putting antennas in our flag poles. Is all this necessary just for cell phone
communication? There is already a growing # of individuals from every occupation known as EMF refugee.
There are issues re: ADA laws. Many are questioning that the Telecommunication Act of 1996 is not in accord
with our constitution. 1996 was the same year our EPA was done dis-mantled and our FCC became run by members of the same
industries they are suppose to be regulating. I like what the woman on the website for the
neighbors at Seavay Loop said, ""keep your land-line"" and use the cell as in-frequently as possible.
The US has among the least protective standards for EMF radiation in the world. The safety of these towers are
being questioned; we need as few as possible, with the least amount of EMF radiation, placed in the safest of locations. These
are standards that most of the world already follows.
Thank you.
Cindy Allen
#541-357-2448
2
