Applicant’s Written Statement - Lincoln Commons Site Review 20

EC 9.6830 Intersections of Streets and Alleys.

This standard does not apply because there are no new streets or potential accessways on
adjacent sites that dictate the dedication or construction of a new public intersection.

EC 9.6835 Public Accessways.

There are no existing or required accessways on adjacent sites that dictate the dedication or
construction of a public access way. As addressed elsewhere in this application, ample and
convenient pedestrian access is ensured through compliance with on-site pedestrian circulation
standards and connections to the public street system in multiple directions.

EC 9.6840 Reserve Strips.

No new public streets are proposed or required, and the proposed development does not
create the need to prevent access to adjoining properties or streets under these standards.
Therefore, no reserve strips are proposed or required.

EC 9.6845 Special Safety Requirements.

This standard does not apply as no new public streets are proposed or required.

EC 9.6850 Street Classification Map.

No changes are proposed to the City’s adopted Street Classification Map, and none are needed
for the project at this location. Neither Lincoln Street nor West 5th Avenue appear to be
designated on the City’s adopted Street Classification Map as Arterial or Collector Streets and
are thus considered Local Streets. The City’s existing street classifications would remain the
same for adjoining streets and need not change as a result of this project.

EC 9.6855 Street Names.

This standard does not apply as there are no new streets proposed or required. Existing street
names will remain the same.

EC 9.6860 Street Right-of-Way Map.

This criterion is not applicable because the proposal does not amend the right -of-way map. In
addition, none of the adjacent streets (which are classified as Local Streets) are shown on the
map with any future planned right-of-way width expansion as shown in the City’s adopted
Arterial and Collector Street Plan on Figure 61, City of Eugene Street Right-of-Way Map. As
such, the right-of-way and paving widths are controlled by the standards at EC 9.6870 discussed
in more detail below.
