13 Slocum TIA April 22, 2025 CRASH ANALYSIS A crash investigation was performed for the study area intersections. The analysis investigates crashes that have been reported to the state for the most recent 5 years, 01/01/2019- 12/31/2023, to determine the crash rate in crashes per million vehicles on the roadway and the types of crashes that occurred. The crash analysis follows the HSM Critical Crash Rate methodology outlined in ODOT’s Analysis Procedures Manual. The intersection crash rates are compared to the calculated critical crash rates. If the crash rate exceeds the critical rash rate, the intersection is evaluated for possible mitigation measures. Crash data was provided by ODOT for the study area and included in Appendix C. The results of the crash analysis are provided in Table 5. Table 6 provides crash patterns. This crash occurred at the intersection of Coburg Road at the eastbound ramp. This crash occurred on Friday, June 23, 2023, at approximately 2 PM. The crash involved a bicycle traveling northbound on Coburg Road and a vehicle making a northbound right turn. The error was assigned to the vehicle for not yielding to the cyclist.
