Page | 10 <br />6) A good plan would produce a community asset <br />• A good plan would include a public-owned and maintained stormwater collection and detention system. <br />• Stormwater treatment on individual lots would be required. <br />• A community detention facility would provide peak flow management . <br />Detention facility ponds, designed around existing trees where possible, would provide much-desired <br />open space and wildlife habitat as a public benefit. The stormwater flow control ponds included in the <br />previous phase of the Braewood Hills subdivision have proven to be very effective and can serve as a <br />good example (Figure 7).
