From:Elaine Hanks
To:GIOELLO Nick R
Subject:Braewood Hills 3rd Addition
Date:Sunday, October 13, 2024 2:44:06 PM
You don't often get email from elaine.hanks@gmail.com. Learn why this is important
[EXTERNAL ]
Dar Mr. Gioello:
I have lived at my present address of 2505 Park Forest Dr. Eugene OR
97405 for 22 1/2 years. In that time I have seen numerous houses being
built and an increase in the amount of traffic. The land proposed that is to
be built on is off of Randy Lane. Twenty years ago we used to be able to
hike over the hill; no more as there are houses everywhere. The entire
ecosystem of that area has changed; the salamanders are gone as their
creek has been eroded. Our neighborhood gets deluged with snow, ice and
rain run off when there is only rain at 18th and Hawkins. This only adds to
the driving hazards of the area. As was seen recently on Videra Dr., the
mud and soil gives way and causes the homes' foundations to slide. The
hillside of the proposed building addition already has runoff problems.
Please consider the health of the community over whatever taxes Lane
County is eagerly awaiting as a result of this increased building.
The increased traffic will cause nothing but chaos and will overshadow any
ambiance of living on that hill.
Elaine E.
