3. Neighborhood disaster planning meetings have addressed the significant
challenges that already exist for evacuation of the current population in this area.
The current development would increase the population far beyond the proposed 38
lots, especially if multi-house units are constructed.

Additional Traffic

1. Inadequate planning for additional traffic and parking, particularly if the
proposed lots are used for multiple units, which means more vehicles when
there is already record high volume of traffic on Blacktail and Herald Lane, often
traveling at speeds unsafe for a residential area.
2. Evacuating significantly larger populations from this area during a disaster
becomes logistically concerning.

I find it highly doubtful that the current development plan complies with building codes for
the city of Eugene. It is my expectation that the current proposal to develop this
ecologically significant land will be carefully evaluated and take into serious consideration
the devastating impact on the surrounding area.

Sincerely,

Maxine Reiter
3117 Herald Ln
Eugene, OR 97405
