Santa Clara Community Organization <br />River Road-Santa Clara Neighborhood Planning <br />Recommendation Letter – July 2023 <br />Santa Clara Community Organization (SCCO) voted unanimously to recommend approval of the <br />neighborhood plan, the action plan the code amendments, and staff suggested additions as <br />well as these edits in bold: <br />Policy 5.2 Transit: Support affordable PUBLIC TRANSIT ALONG RIVER ROAD FROM THE URBAN <br />GROWTH BOUNDARY to the rest of Eugene in collaboration with Lane Transit District. <br />Policy 7.4.1. Identify natural areas on public land and collaborate with public agencies to <br />manage with ecological values in mind. PRIORITIZE THE USE OF NATIVE PLANTS WHERE <br />APPROPRIATE. <br />Under Policy 6.3 consider adding an action related to sound mitigation for residential areas <br />abutting highways. <br />Have staff review comments from Eliza Kashinsky about possible perils of tying code changes to <br />neighborhood boundaries instead of specific locations. <br />Attachment F <br />March 12, 2024 JEO Public Hearing - Item 1CC Agenda Page 181
