Attachment B <br />Community <br />VI;InN STATFMFNT <br />COMMUNITY <br />Goal 15: Foster a welcoming and inclusive community. <br />Policy 15.1 Welcoming and Inclusive: Promote a welcoming environment and inclusive <br />approach to the work of the River Road and Santa Clara Community Organizations in <br />collaboration with the City, County, and other local service providers such as schools and non- <br />profit organizations. <br />Policy 15.2 Housing Affordability: Show community support for affordable housing <br />opportunities in the neighborhoods. <br />Policy 15.3 The Unhoused Community: Advocate for housing and provide information to <br />community members about housing services and social services available for people without <br />stable housing. <br />Policy 15.4 Public Art: Support public art through public programs and community advocacy. <br />Goal 16: Foster collaborative relationships to build a stronger and more resilient community. <br />Policy 16.1 Communication and Outreach: Enhance communication and outreach capabilities of <br />the River Road and Santa Clara Community Organizations by advocating for stable local funding <br />to reach the entire neighborhoods. <br />Policy 16.2 Gathering and Learning Spaces: Enhance access to locations and opportunities for <br />community gathering, sharing, and learning spaces for all residents in collaboration with <br />neighborhood schools, businesses, and other community partners. <br />Policy 16.3 Community Engagement: Build and maintain resident engagement through <br />neighborhood projects, outreach, empowering neighborhood volunteers, and applying for the <br />City's Community and Neighborhood Matching Grants Program. <br />Policy 16.4 Resilience Networks: Build community support and participation in small scale <br />resilience networks that help neighbors and businesses communicate, share resources, and <br />prepare for emergencies. <br />Exhibit A <br />CC Agenda Page 46 March 12, 2024 JEO Public Hearing- Item 1 <br />
