Phase Two will translate the abundance of public input into a draft vision and implementing action plan. This phase will conclude with the second major community event in late May. At that time, we will seek public review and feedback on the draft Vision and Action Plan. The project team also plans to provide an update to the City Council prior to releasing the draft Vision and Action Plan. Lastly, staff from the Planning and Development Department as well as the office of Human Rights and Neighborhood Involvement are drafting neighborhood planning guidelines intended to clarify planning processes and roles and layout the various tools available to neighborhood groups to address their place-based concerns. They will also assist neighborhood groups in building their own capacity and offering examples of neighborhood engagement tools. The River Road-Santa Clara planning efforts serve as a model for other neighborhoods in many ways. The guidelines will be shared with various groups for input this spring. Once finalized, they will be shared with City Council.

COUNCIL OPTIONS The work session is informational and no action is requested.
CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION The work session is informational and no action is requested.
SUGGESTED MOTION The work session is informational and no action is requested.
