Force Annexation Page 1 of 4 <br />Annexation Application - Written Statement <br />April 7, 2023 <br />April 7, 2023 <br />Daniel Force <br />Annexation Application <br />Map 17 04 10 14 Tax Lot 00900 <br />WRITTEN STATEMENT <br />In accordance with EC 9.7800, Annexation Application Procedures and Criteria, the applicant, Daniel Force, <br />is requesting that the City of Eugene review this annexation request and determine that the proposal <br />complies with criteria contained in EC 9.7825 and that the requested annexation can be approved. <br />1. Description of Proposal <br />A. Overview <br />Daniel Force (applicant) requests annexation approval to increase opportunities for future use <br />of the property. The property is located inside the City of Eugene Urban Growth Boundary and <br />is zoned Residential (R-1) with an Urbanizable Land Overlay (UL) and Commercial Airport <br />Safety Overlay Zone (CAS). The Metro Plan designation is Low Density Residential. <br />B. Subject Site <br />The property is comprised of one tax lot and is located in the Santa Clara Community <br />Organization area. The property is bordered by primarily single unit dwellings. <br />II. Annexation - Approval Criteria <br />Annexation Approval Criteria are found in Section 9.7825 of the Eugene Code. Applicable sections <br />of the Code are in plain text, followed by proposed findings of facts in italics. <br />9.7825 Annexation - Approval Criteria. The city council shall approve, modify and approve, or <br />deny a proposed annexation based on the application's consistency with the following: <br />(1) The land proposed to be annexed is within the city's urban growth boundary and is: <br />(a) Contiguous to the city limits; or <br />The property to be annexed is within the city's urban growth boundary and is contiguous to <br />the city limits. The property at 3047 Hyacinth Street (Map 17 04 10 14 00800) is annexed <br />and is contiguous with the subject property.
