process, Partition M 00-3. Slocum Drive is about 34 feet in width and Songbird Loop is 27.50 feet in
width. Neither meets current street standards.
Both Tax Lots have adequate access onto the existing street system, Willow Creek Road. Since the area
is not being used for right-way, it will not be needed as right-of-way in the future. The vacation will not
impede access to the abutting properties. Slocum Drive and Songbird Loop do not currently provide
access to any lots in the area. The vacation will allow the existing properties to continue access onto the
existing street system, along with access onto proposed street connections within the proposed
development. Tax Lots 100 and 200 will continue to have access onto Willow Creek Road.
The vacation does not prevent the extension of, or the retention of public services, facilities, or utilities.
All public facilities are available to and from the site as approved under SR-20-3.
The proposed street vacation also includes vacating the existing 7-foot-wide Public utility Easement. All
relevant City Departments and public agencies will be notified of this proposal. The applicant has also
notified the affected utility providers for concurrence with the vacation proposal.
As shown on the site plans for the approved development under SR-20-3, the blocks within the
development are broken up by the interior access system. All areas of the development have access
onto the existing streets. The vacation of Slocum Drive and Songbird Loop will allow the development to
Eugene Apts #6968 Page 1 March 5, 2021
provide a safe and needed access onto Willow Creek Road.
