correctly identifies permitted uses in each zone. Staff would also take this opportunity to
further cla-
testimony.
With respect to public notice materials, staff closely followed the Chapter 9 Land Use Code
public notice requirements which implement State law concerning appropriate public notice of
land use applications. Staff understand that the application summaries included in the notice
may be technical and difficult to understand. However, staff are obligated to include precise
statements that cite correct code sections, approval criteria, and opportunities to review the
planning file. Furthermore, in attempting to ing
code language, or speculating on implications of certain decisions, staff risk overstepping by
inserting unfair subjectivity. Staff continue to review public notice templates and procedures in
order to balance accessibility and fairness with legal requirements. Notices include an invitation
to contact staff in the event that recipients have questions or would like clarification, and staff
always endeavors to provide responsive assistance.
