As an alternative to the number of bicycle parking <br />spaces that are required under (3) above or the number of off-street <br />parking spaces that are required under (1) above, an applicant may <br />apply for approval of an adjustment through the Adjustment Review <br />process based on the criteria at EC 9.8030(9) or EC 9.8030(10)(a). <br />Section 9.3170 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide as follows: <br />9.3170 S-DR Downtown Riverfront Special Area Zone Landscape Requirements. <br />(1) Developments must conform to landscaping requirements at EC 9.6205 <br />through 9.6255, except as provided at subsection (2) below. <br />(2) Enhanced pedestrian amenities and urban plazas (as defined at EC 9.0500) <br />may be provided in lieu of landscaping, eXGept that shade trees aFe <br />• Section 9.3175 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide as follows: <br />9.3175 S-DR Downtown Riverfront Special Area Zone Open Space Requirements <br />(21) Either 10 percent of the development site or 10 percent of the livable floor <br />area, whichever is greater, shall be provided as open space on the <br />development site. <br />(32) Up to 50 percent of the required open space under subsections (1) aAd (2) <br />above may be provided on the development site through the provision of <br />private open space, such as balconies, porches, patios, and eco-roofs. <br />Section 9.3180 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide as follows: <br />Page 40 of 62 <br />{0031735M; <br />
