Public Meetings <br />All public meetings are open to the public to attend and are publicized on the City's calendar. This <br />section includes neighborhood meetings, commission and committee meetings, and open houses <br />hosted by the City. <br />November 28, 2017 - The River Guides held their first meeting, an orientation. <br />December 12, 2017 - The River Guides reviewed a proposed boundary expansion to include 3 <br />parcels north of 4th Avenue in the Riverfront Urban Renewal District. The River Guides <br />recommended to expand the boundary to include the properties north of 4th Avenue in the <br />Riverfront Urban Renewal District. <br />April 17, 2018 - The River Guides reviewed and provided input on the proposed RFQ/RFP process <br />and criteria for the Steam Plant. The River Guides recommendations were incorporated in materials <br />presented to Council. <br />June 5, 2018 - The River Guides reviewed the draft proposed terms to develop the Downtown <br />Riverfront site with WDA as the agent. The River Guides received an overview of the proposed <br />concept, the terms, and a brief outline of the cost-benefit analysis being developed to examine the <br />City's investment in public infrastructure. <br />June 15, 2018 - The River Guides reviewed the complete cost-benefit analysis and asked questions <br />to staff and WDA on the concept, terms, and analysis. The River Guides recommended to approve <br />the proposed concept and terms. <br />June 20, 2018 - The City and Williams/Dame & Associates hosted an open house and site tour at <br />the Downtown Riverfront Redevelopment site. It was attended by over 200 people. <br />June 27, 2018 - The River Guides reviewed the RFQ submissions for the Steam Plant and discussed <br />the next steps in the selection process. The River Guides recommended to bring in two of the four <br />teams for additional questions and then decide on what the RFP phase will entail in terms of <br />submissions, community outreach, and River Guides involvement. <br />April 10, 2018 - Staff met with the Sustainability Commission Riverfront Committee. <br />June 15, 2018 - Staff provided a presentation to members of the Downtown Neighborhood <br />Association steering committee on the Downtown Riverfront Redevelopment. <br />January 23, 2019 - Staff attended the Downtown Neighborhood Association meeting to discuss the <br />Steam Plant. <br />February 7, 2019 - An open house was held to promote the Steam Plant project and gather <br />community feedback. It was attended by over 140 people. <br />February 27, 2019 - A Downtown Neighborhood Association neighborhood meeting was <br />scheduled to discuss the Downtown Riverfront and Steam Plant. Due to inclement weather the <br />meeting will be rescheduled for March. <br />
