***Please share this message*** <br />Protect the UO Riverfront! <br />Comment by Wednesday, October 10 at 5pm <br />even if you've already commented <br />The University of Oregon has applied for a 30-year Conditional Use Permit from the City of <br />Eugene to develop the Ånorth campus.Æ This includes the open space between the <br />Frohnmayer (Autzen) Footbridge and the former EWEB property downstream (which will be <br />intensively redeveloped under an entirely separate process). <br />The University's plans call for buildings, acres of \[likely\] synthetic playing Ðelds, lights, and fences that <br />would displace wildlife and restrict educational and public uses within this unique riverfront landscape. <br />There are other places for playing Ðelds but no replacing the riverfront. <br /> <br />
