Open space along the Willamette Greenway is rare and needs
protection, that's why we have laws, statues and goals in place to follow. The decision of this
Hearings Official to approve the permit to build a 29 unit housing development is short-sited and not in the
spirit of the statues, criterion, codes and goals meant to preserve the Willamette River and the Greenway.
We request that the Planning Commission members reverse the Hearings Official's decision as it does not
reflect even the basic degree of applicable statute or criteria meant to protect the Willamette Greenway's
integrity and maintenance this communities' quality of life today and in the future.
