9.3060 S-C Chambers Special Area Zone - Land Use and Permit Requirements and Special Use <br />Limitations. Except where the standards in EC 9.3065 S-C Chambers Special Area Zone Development <br />Standards specifically provide otherwise: <br />(2) The land use and permit requirements and special use limitations applicable in the S-C/R-2 <br />subarea shall be those set out at EC 9.2740 and EC 9.2741 for uses in the R-2 zone, except that <br />secondary dwellings shall not be allowed. <br />Section 19. A new subsection (2) is added to Section 9.3615 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and the following <br />subsection is renumbered, to provide as follows: <br />9.3615 S-JW Jefferson Westside Special Area Zone Land Use and Permit Requirements and Special <br />Use Limitations. The land use and permit requirements and special use limitations applicable in the S- <br />JW Jefferson Westside Special Area Zone shall be those set out at EC 9.2740 and EC 9.2741 for uses in <br />the R-2 zone, except the following uses listed on Table EC 9.2740 are prohibited in the S-JW Jefferson <br />Westside Special Area Zone: <br />1. Correctional Facilities. <br />2. Secondary Dwellings. <br />[(-41 (3). C-1 Neighborhood Commercial Zone permitted uses, unless such a use is specifically listed in <br />another row on Table 9.2740 as an allowable use under the "R-2" column. <br />Obviously, because of the Council's other motion, the term "Accessory Dwelling" should be <br />substituted for "Secondary Dwelling." <br />The concerns over prohibition can be dealt with in a much simpler way that won't create the <br />problems that the staff alternative would. Here is what council should adopt in the ordinance: <br />Section 8. Subsection (2) of Section 9.3060 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide as follows: <br />9.3060 S-C Chambers Special Area Zone - Land Use and Permit Requirements and Special Use <br />Limitations.
