BOHNER Rodney T
From:evachava kronen <evachava@hotmail.com>
Sent:Thursday, July 05, 2018 10:34 AM
To:BOHNER Rodney T
Subject:Apartments along the River in River Road
Dear Mr. Bohner,
One of the best assets our city has is the Willametter River and the green way. As life gets more
insane... we need quiet places, where nature is reasonably unimpeded... to reclaim what is our true
purpose... to find peace and happiness.
I understand that we are in housing crisis. I work for Head Start of Lane County and many of the
families I work with are on the verge of homelessness or are homeless. I am a volunteer Board
member for Community Supported Shelters and on the steering committee for G-Street OASIS, in
Springfield. I know we have to build more homes...but the placement for these apartments is not the
right place for many reasons.
There are many more lots in the city that can be used... and in fact, in my neighborhood, on the
corner of Maxwell and the onramp to Northwest Expressway is a huge piece of property that can be
developed.... but only for the low income bracket. In fact, that is the greatest need right now.
I urge the city to deny the application for the Lombard Apartment proposal and spend the personnel
time on finding another suitable lot to build.
Thank you,
Eva Kronen
1808 Brentwood Ave
Eugene, OR 97404
1
