The checklist and model cross- <br />sections provided in this guidebook do not depend upon <br />having fire sprinklers installed in residences. More flexibility <br />in street design may be possible when sprinklers are provided. <br />However, narrow streets still need to accommodate fire appa- <br />ratus that respond to non-fire, medical emergencies.
