UNIVERSITY OF OREGON <br />NORTH CAMPUS <br />CONDITIONAL USE & WILLAMETTE GREENWAY PERMIT APPLICATION <br /> <br />Physical Education & Recreation Focus Group <br />The Physical Education and Recreation focus group was comprised of representatives from the <br />Department of Physical Education and Recreation, Club Sports, and Intramural Sports. The group <br />provided feedback on current and future programmatic needs for students in physical education <br />programs, open recreation, club sports, and intramural sports. The PE & REC Focus Group met <br />on July 6, 2017, and in a combined meeting with the Ecology Focus Group and Outdoor Program <br />Group on August 29, 2017, and in a combined meeting with the Ecology Focus Group and <br />members from the Community Focus Group on October 18, 2017. <br />Outdoor Program Focus Group <br />The UO Outdoor Program provided feedback on recreation program opportunities, river access, <br />and support facilities. The focus group discussed the programmatic requirements for a potential <br />new facility near the river. The Outdoor Program Focus Group met on July 6, 2017 and in a <br />combined meeting with the Ecology Focus Group and PE & REC Group on August 29, 2017. <br />Members were invited to but did not attend the combined meeting with the PE & REC Focus <br />Group, Ecology Focus Group and members from the Community Focus Group on October 18, <br />2017. <br />Information-Sharing Meetings <br />Members of the Project Team met with the units that make up <br /> Campus Planning and <br />(Campus Planning, Design and Construction, Utilities and Energy, <br />Facilities Management <br />Facilities Services, and Sustainability) to review project status and gather feedback related to <br />the operations of the campus. Meetings occurred on September 14, 2017, and October 17, <br />2017. <br />Members of the Project Team met with representatives in the <br /> Office of the Vice President for <br /> on October 9, 2017 to share project information and gather <br />Research and Innovation <br />feedback related to the interests and needs of faculty research and research related to the <br />university. <br />Members of the Project Team met with the on December 11, <br /> UO Executive Leadership Team <br />2017 to share the project status and gather feedback. <br />Campus Planning staff provided an update to the in December 2017. <br /> Space Advisory Group <br />Academic Units with Facilities in the North Campus Area <br />On September 6, 2017, members of the Project Team met with representatives of academic units <br />that have current facilities in the project area. These units included College of Design, the School <br />of Art and Design, and the Urban Farm Program. The purpose of the meeting was to share <br />information about the project, gather key information about their use of the area, and address <br />concerns. <br />Campus Planning Committee <br />Members of the Project Team met with the Campus Planning Committee (CPC) on October 10, <br />October 27, and November 28, 2017. The CPC is a university committee that advises the <br />President on long-range campus development with regard to the design of campus. The <br />committee includes wide representation from university faculty, staff, and students. The CPC is <br />the primary author of proposed amendments and periodic updates to the Campus Plan. CPC <br />meetings are open to the public and notification of regular meetings is provided to Eugene <br />Neighborhood Association chairs.
