Capital Hill PUD Traffic Safety Analysis
(Revised) May 17, 2017
the developed hillside area, any constructed new sidewalk would not be capable of meeting ADA
standards due to existing longitudinal slopes that exceed 5 percent along the roadway alignment
and construction located at an existing top of bank. With or without the development, it is
recommended that the City work with property frontage owners on Capital Drive to construct a
minimum 2-foot width sidewalk where not present. Additionally, there are areas of on-street
parking that create a narrower than typical condition that should be reviewed by the City Traffic
Engineer with or without the proposed Capital Hill PUD Development.
© Branch Engineering, Inc.
Page 1 2
