Oakleigh Meadow Cohousing <br />Neighborhood Outreach History <br />• Since July, 2011 flyers regarding all of our events have been posted in the neighborhood <br />and all over Eugene. Since that same date OMC members have walked door to door on <br />Oakleigh and McClure with flyers, knocking on doors and talking with neighbors about <br />the project. Below is a list of our events. Upon request, we can provide a list of flyering <br />locations and one copy of each flyer since July 2011. <br />• Since February, 2012 there has been an OMC website (regularly updated) for neighbors <br />to visit for more information. <br />• . Since August 2012, OMC members have walked, knocked and talked on Oakleigh and <br />McClure Lanes carrying a large copy of our site-design for reference, and distributing <br />responses to Frequently Asked Questions (we can also provide this upon request). <br />• Since April, 2012 there has been a 30"x 48" OMC sign on the land. It reads "Home of <br />Oakleigh Meadow Cohousing" and includes our website address for more information. <br />• Long-running ads in the Eugene Weekly regarding monthly 3rd Sunday Site-Visits and <br />other events. <br />Chronological list of events and activities: <br />2011 <br />• July 30th: OMC launch party <br />• August 28th: Cohousing Gathering <br />• September 11th: Outreach Meeting & Potluck <br />• October 15th: Slide Show with Chuck Durrett- <br />November 6th & 20th: OMC Neighborhood Potlucks <br />• December 3&4: Getting-it-Built workshop with Chuck Durrett, <br />2012 <br />• Treasure Tromp Egg Hunt: March, 2012 <br />• Ice Cream Social: July, 2012 <br />• AIA-CSI Picnic at Oakleigh Meadow: July 18th,'12 / mayor was there / OMC Presentation <br />• Field Games Day: July, 2012 <br />• August: OMC members walk neighborhood with site-design poster and paper regarding <br />Frequently Asked Questions <br />• February 19th, 2012 - present: Open-Site visits once a month <br />• August - present: Filbert & Cottonwood grove work parties <br />• December 8th: Neighborhood Christmas tree cutting <br />2013 <br />• January 18-20 & March 7-10: OMC booth at both Home shows for a total of 7 days of <br />non-stop outreach. 2-5 members in the booth having hundreds of conversations with <br />community members. <br />• Saturday February 16th (1-4pm) Neighborhood outreach event at River Road Annex <br />• Meadow Maze Treasure Tromp (March 30th): neighborhood families invited. <br />• Happy Movie shown at UU Church (April 5th). Neighbors and larger community invited. <br />* Monthly Site-Visits and Filbert Grove work parties continue. <br />• Fun Friday events every week for OMC outreach. <br />
