Co-housing Development
F, _aF
I am wilting this letter in support 'of the proposed Oakleigh Nleado-ws Co-housing
mf" development'at the east end of Oakleigh Lane. This planned unit dei, elopnzent
w i11 carit-tin 28 d1~ ellin; units iri seven btiiiduias %V ith a common house in the
center of the dev lopment. The Ninth Edition of the h-ust'tute of Transportation
Engineers Trip Generation Manual classifies this type of development as a
"residential condoniiniuniltownhoilse" development.
The City took a,conservative approach and used~a trip generation rate for single-
family detached housing of one Pti1 peak hour trip per unit and assumed 29 units.
'Since this developm nt will acttialiv be towrdlouses, the ,veighted average trip,
rate from the Trip Generation Manual would be 0,52 trips per unit or 15 PSI peak
hour trips. So whether one uses 15 or 29 peak hour trips, or some number in
between, all are well below the City's threshold of 100 peak hour trips that would
Tuggers"a traffic'inlpact analysts. I concur with the staff findings that this
development will not require fiu-ther traffic impact analysis or reduce safety or
scl icc Levels in the area.,,
Trnmc ~;sl~n
Yours very truly,
T-, Gcrnrnt~cn r..
Tra Yic Co 7 .nt ~ t~
106a~ ~
OREG v j
RENEWS 6130114,
Michael Weishar, PE
Access Engineering LLC
