As for the Access Lane, the residential environ- <br />ment is dominant. Traffic volumes are relatively low (250-750 ADT) with a design speed of 20 mph. <br />This street type can be designed with one or two travel lanes. A low 20' paving width is allowed with two <br />10' travel lanes and no on-street parking; 21' and 28' paving widths are allowed in the "queuing" designs <br />providing a single 14' travel lane with one or two T parking lanes. Setback sidewalks are required on <br />both sides of Low-Volume Residential Streets..
