Regarding the Branch Engineering written statement for annexation TM 18-03-09-2, TL 500 (11/29/2016),
point 42, bullet 5 suggests an access north from 30th Avenue using TL 301. This has been disallowed by the
city and county because it effectively connects 30th Ave to Spring and Central. The Laurel Hill Valley
Refinement Plan disallows a connection between 30th and the Glenwood Interchange which could be the next
step. The other possible access would be south on TL 301 which is too steep.
We're confused by a public process that doesn't notify neighbor's until this late and city planning requires a
response ten days ahead of the meeting with no written or oral input the day of the meeting? We love that the
city had the foresight to protect its' Ridgeline, forested areas and wildlife through refinement plans.
Katie Dixon & Bill Blix
