Non- <br />structural controls can include street sweeping and other good housekeeping practices. <br />Source Control measures shall be maintained and documented. <br />Spill Prevention Measures shall be exercised on site when handling substances that <br />contaminate stormwater. Releases of pollutants shall be corrected as soon as identified. <br />Spill Prevention procedures require high-risk site users to reduce the risk of spills. <br />However, virtually all sites, including residential and commercial, present dangers from <br />spills. Homes contain a wide variety of toxic materials including gasoline for lawn mowers, <br />antifreeze for cars, nail polish remover, pesticides, and cleaning aids that can adversely <br />affect storm water if spilled. It is important to exercise caution when handling substances <br />that can contaminate stormwater. <br />Non-Chemical Pest Control measures shall be taken to prevent development of insects, <br />mosquitoes, and rodents. <br />Stormwater Management Manual 4-28 <br />Eugene 2014 <br />
